On 25 April, we have an evening of hip-hop dance featuring an exciting European collaboration between b.supreme, Battle Of The Year, Spin Off and Lezarts Urbains. With hip-hop performances from men and women featuring choreography from legendary Bboy Storm and an awe-inspiring dance battle featuring BOTY’s Solo Breakin’ Champion.

Calling all professional dance artists and choreographers based in the UK

Southbank Centre offers an opportunity to take part in a week long workshop from 13 – 17 June 2011 in Brussels on physical dramaturgy with internationally acclaimed dance artists and dramaturges Martin Nachbar and Jeroen Peeters.

Organised in partnership with Ultima Vez and WorkSpace Brussels in Belgium, this opportunity is as part of the Jardin D’Europe network. This is suitable for UK based professional dance artist who have presented their work professionally to date and currently engaged in making work.

Next week we welcome back our previous Head of Dance & Performance,Nicky Napier Nicky Napier [nee Molloy] at Southbank Centre to curate dancEUnion – a selection of dance from twenty European countries over three days.

Including artists and companies from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and United Kingdom, dancEUnion is show-casing the best of European contemporary dance and physical theatre.
